This is Clark and Aldine, on the northbound side of Clark at the #22 bus stop. When you’re waiting more than 20 minutes for a bus on one of the CTA’s most popular routes (another issue altogether), it would be nice if the CTA or some neighborhood association would put a bench in instead of public art. I’m not against public art, but a wait this long would be more bearable with a place to sit (especially with my blistered feet — the only thing I brought back from New York!). There aren’t benches at the adjacent stops either, but there is a shelter at the stop across the street.
I know I can contact the alderman about putting stops or benches in. I just wish it were a more common practice in general.
